Loads to see, plenty of spots to have a rest in between. Might be a good idea to take a smaller stroller if you can since some paths are fairly narrow. Picnic spot halfway with tables and few animals around (and a donkey ride!) also a small play area for the bigger kids. The cafe was just standard, and slightly... More

Our group of 23 people of 10 adults and 13 children (age 4 to 12) visited the park for Kiwi sighting tour and Maori Show with 4-course Maori Dinner. The Kiwi tour and the feeding of the animals were a lot of fun, especially for the kids. The Maori Show was a bit disappointing. Didn't think Maori's played the guitar.... More

Lovely Maori display, sadly the Air NZ booking omitted our dinner. And we were asked to have basically, a "run" through the aivary to sight a kiwi in captivity. I wish it could have been better. Will give it another try, regardless of past experience.

I think the highlight of the entire park was meeting Millie, the volunteer, in the Kiwi hut, just as she was about to feed the four Kiwis. She has a zoology degree and is extremely knowledgeable about the subject, and happily shared with us how the program works, what Kiwis eat, and her life and experiences there. We got the... More

A delightful day spent amongst flora and fauna at Willowbank. Enjoyed the casual and semi-rural attitude that was present and the offerings at the shop and café as well. Only concern was that I had to use public transport from the CBD and as a visitor to Christchurch this was a bit misleading at times. Still, a very nice attraction... More

I went to Willowbank with my husband. We got to get up close and personal with a lot of animals. You get to feed many of them. It was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed having parrots land on me and try to steal my sunglasses. Visiting the park was well worth the entry fees.

We came here yesterday with family and our 6 year old daughter. We loved it! Spent over 2+ hours here taking our time to look at it all. Will be back some day soon :)

So much to see and do for the family. Up close with the animals. Can buy food to feed the eels and deer etc. Well worth it. Pony rides, picnic spots, great ice creams
