Lovely to have a complementary wine tasting before the meal, able to taste across the range, and decide on what we might like to buy and bring home. Incredible food, absolutely one of the best I have experienced ever. Cooked to perfection, I savoured every mouthful, and loved the combinations on my plate. My only criticism would be that the... What can I say. NZ has some of the best wines in the world and you would be silly not to make a trip out to the vineyards. Sadly I no longer live in NZ and I have to get my Pinot Noir elsewhere.

The setting is very attractive with a beautiful garden and lawns surrounding the main almost stately building. We started by trying a taste of a wine and enjoyed another wee sample during the meal. The person who served us was very enthusiastic about the food - I found my fish meal rather boring after the build up I am afraid.... More

Just love this place, been here three times over the past few years. The only downside is the drive from ChCh if you want to have a few wines. Reminds me of the fine dining at Amisfield in Queenstown, but here is more bistro. Rustic setting and great being next to the tasting room. Loved the whitebait, venison, lamb shoulder... More

Arrived around 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon. There was a pleasant greeting from the staff. A very lovely women who introduced herself (Coco Yu) and asked were we (8) of us there for a wine tasting. We quickly set ourselves up at the bar. We then had a very informative session with Coco, giving many facts about the wines... More

A second visit to Pegasus Bay Winery Restaurant and it still hits all the high notes. Well deserving of its multiple Cuisine Awards, this place is fantastic on all levels. Great setting, wonderful wines, great food and fantastic service. Our previous visit had been midwinter and we were seated in the cozy dining room. This time with the benefit of... More

We were a party of four adults and went for a late lunch preceded by wine-tasting and a walk around the beautiful grounds. The food could not have been better; the kids were well catered for and the staff were fantastic.

This place eludes charm from the moment you arrive. Majestic Gardens, Grand residents and it just gets better! The wine is stunning, they have a decent range available for tasting too. Most importantly you must book well in day for lunch, because to miss the delicious culinary offers at this gourmet venue would be a tragedy... Leave room for dessert... More

My husband and I came here for a tasting and with hopes of a tour or a meal, but the restaurant was "fully booked" (even though LOTS of tables were free and empty). In their defense, they clearly indicate with signage on the property that reservations are required and tours are only booked in advance. We were looking for something... More
