This is really part of the Christchurch folklore by now and is a must visit, if only to see just how ingenious commercial folks can be to overcome a major disaster like the earthquake and to create and maintain a tourist attraction at that too!...More

It's a new place after those two earthquakes earlier in 2010&2011 which almost ruined the city. It's great place to eat, enjoy their famous Kiwi Flat White coffee, buy souvenirs and local handcrafts. Very lively and happening place to enjoy at least half a day....More

Clearly intended for wealthy overseas visitors, we found this place unsuitable for our family. Great if you want to "window-shop".

By putting shipping crates together they have made a shopping centre. There is eateries, banks, clothing shops, souvenir shops and more. Some are single storey some double storey. Even toilets. We done to recover some of the lost shops. A must see.
