Fantastic views of the rocky peninsula during a one or two hour windy and winding walk. So that's where the Maoris lived after they climbed ashore. Steep hill sides; rocky bays 100 feet below and benches to rest and reflect.

We came down the coast road to Dunedin and this area is just spectacular. We had lovely Sunny weather which made the view from the Puketeraki lookout back to the North and the Beach incredible.

A stunning beach sitting on the Pacific. Great for surf and relaxation. Good local walks. A bit chilly that day for toe tipping but looked a good beach for swimming in. Well worth the visit out to

Worth a stop for the walks, the surf break and general exploring. Absolutely stunning part of the world & perfect for a break from driving if you need a couple of hours or overnight stop.

This beach is 25 kilometers North of Dunedin. It has a very safe beach, and also the Waikouaiti river runs through the village. It has a domain that can be used for picnics. Safe for supervised children.of all ages. Scenery to die for.
