Flying to Stewart Island is definitely a great way to get there. The staff is very friendly and the service is very efficient. On our flight to Stewart Island one guy provided all services from checking in our luggage, doing the boarding and safety instructions and flying us to Stewart Island. The flight itself provides fantastic views of Foveaux Strait... More

Stewart Island Flights is a highly professional and knowledgeable flight operation. We felt safe and secure on outgoing and incoming flights to Stewart Island. The crew were careful with the cargo, and very quickly off loaded our group and boarded the next group. The views were lovely, and the flights were smooth with exceptionally soft landings. The van was waiting... More

Decided to fly because I wanted to get maximum value from the day. Totally the right decision. 8am flight. Short smooth flight across. Had two hours of early morning tranquility on the island before the first ferry arrived. 9 seater plane. I got to sit up front next to the pilot. Just loved it. The pilots do everything. Check you... A visit to Stewart Island is well worth it if in this part of NZ and the flights are an interesting and economical way of getting there, providing you like small planes. On our day return trip I think we met just about all their staff: at Invercargill airport you are checked in by the pilot. The return trip involves... More

Fantastic short flight to Mason Bay...landed on beach in sea and spray...well nearly as very windy! Walked to DOC hut and stayed night.....go straight from beach to get a bed as first come first served. Take sand fly 100% Deet to kill them...there are lots! Explored area and saw a kiwi at dusk near the hut. Next day walked to... More

Recently we left out car at Invetcsrgill airport, we were transported by bus to Bluff, got the ferry across to Stewart Island and flew back to the mainland. What an experience! Little 9 seater plane with amazing views all the way.

The flight to Stewart Island is short and exciting. We were flying in an 8 seated plane which had seen better days, about 45 years old. The flight is only about 20 minutes and everything was uneventful. Better than taking the ferry across

Thank Tom D
