This is a nose to tai ride over a hill. Some pretty scenery. However the guide led my horse by a rope. Now I am a senior citizen, but I also used to herd cattle on horseback as a kid. I am not infirmed or dotty, so I found this insulting, especially since the only other person led through the... More

This trek has excellent staff who are always looking out for you around the horses. Knowing it was my first time riding a horse, Tina ensured I was comfortable and gave great advice on how to ride the horse on the hills while remaining comfortable. The surroundings were incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. For experienced horse riders, this... More

we boarded "The Lady of the Lake" for approx 40min boat ride. The captain of the Tss steam boat shared many interesting historical facts about Queenstown & the steam boat. He was very passionate & provided a great experience. the food was great! we also did a horse riding tour with Lloyd - the views are breath taking!! absolutely beautiful!

Our family had a great trip cruising across the lake on the Earnslaw to do the horse trek at Walter Peak Farm. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day and the scenery on the way was just stunning. We had no horse riding experience and the trek was perfect for us. It was a different and great... I looked into Walter Peak Farm Visit first but later decided to go for the Horse Trek instead since my partner haven't tried horse riding before and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made on this trip. Lloyd who runs the stables was very knowledgable and nice plus the views up country are breathtaking! He... More

My partner and I went on the Walter Peak Horse Trek in November 2015. The steam boat ride over to the farm was really fun and interesting. It was lovely to take in the wonderful Queenstown scenery. Lloyd was a fantastic guide and went through all the basics of horse riding with us. The trek around the farm was absolutely... More

Had a great time travelling across on the boat and then a horse ride with Lloyd as our guide, took great care with novice riders and nothing was to much trouble to assist us! Leave time to see all the sights on the farm as well and is well worth a visit1 Thanks Alan and Ann
