We pride ourselves on being a small, yet perfectly formed company, which has an unparalleled enthusiasm for all things biking in Queenstown. We have an amazing group of individuals working for us who offer really great service and an unbeatable product. When you ride with our crew you’ll learn new skills & experience the thrills of Queenstown’s incredible terrain. Join us for a ride & make the most of it!

Fantastic experience with the crew at Vertigo. Arranged bikes on arrival in Queenstown and got the good oil on places to go. Had a spot on trip with the shuttle service out to Coronet peak area and followed it up with two hours of coaching with Tim for the downhill session. Bikes were great and we felt well looked after... Spent two days on Vertigo bikes - one day on a DH rig and one on an enduro/trail bike. Good bikes (minor issue with brakes for me) and great and friendly service.

After receiving an independent recommendation from the manager of a local retailer, I did a day of DH with Vertigo Bikes in May this year. After an excellent experience I came back in November with a mate and booked a 5 day DH / back country package with Vertigo again. The bikes were fantastic, full protective gear supplied, and the... Tim and the team at Vertigo Bikes made our recent Mountain Biking trip to Queenstown an easy and frictionless experience. Local knowledge, high end bikes and a desire to ensure we had the best time while in Queenstown made our trip so much better. Unlike many of the other bike rental stores in Queenstown, Vertigo Bikes aren't a chain store... More

We rented bicycles in mid-April to ride around the Lake. A quarter way around the Lakeshore, I had my first flat. I then noticed how bald the back tire was. They at least provided a spare tire. Unfortunately, on the way back, another flat. Luckily my partner was able to provide me with another spare tire. Very frustrating. We ended... More

Thanks for your feedback - sorry it's taken so long to respond, we have been in hibernation and are slowly starting to gear up for the coming season. We are sorry to hear about your experience, unfortunately flats are something we cannot really control, but we all understand how frustrating they can be. All our bikes go through a rigorous... Travelling from Australia we hired 2 x bikes for an afternoon of riding. Friendly staff, setting up us on two bikes that were in good condition with the kit required for the days adventures. We used these guys in our last visit 2 years ago and will do so again when we return to QT.

Thanks minimud for your review - once every 2 years is not nearly enough LOL - you need to come and visit QT more often than that :-) Thanks again and see you next time! More

Can't recommend these guys any higher - great bikes & service. Used them over 3 days- swapped from downhill bikes to cross trails on 2nd day. Nothing was a problem. Fixed minor issues on the spot. Didn't even laugh when I tried to pull elbow pads over my knee. All the staff were friendly .

We had a wonderful experience renting bikes from Vertigo Bikes. Romaine, the employee who aided us in bike selection, was most helpful in fitting us with proper bikes and setting us off on a lovely ride around the lake. My husband is a serious cyclist and when we returned from our scenic ride, he was fitted with another mountain bike... More

Thanks Joanne for taking the time to post a review. Great to hear that you both had fun, and to re-iterate that just because we originate from a DH biking background, not everything at Vertigo has to be extreme and gung ho. Queenstown has so much to offer for bikers no matter how young or old or level of ability.... More

Vertigo sussed me out with the hire of a Giant Glory downhill bike, all the gear and the lift pass for the gondola to get to the track. Great gear, good advice and super speedy to fix my flatty that I got on my second run. I'll be back.
