We have been doing an annual boys trip mountain biking tour to NZ for a number of years now. Have tried other venues like Rotorua and Waiarapa, but keep coming back to Queenstown. It is partly because of how wonderful Queenstown is but also because of how good Greg and the Fat Tyre team are. Quality bikes (though some of... More

We just came back from a brilliant Helibike trip with Fat Tyre. We chose to ride Advance Peak and it was epic. Starting with a fantastic scenic heli trip from Queenstown, then a great flowy mtb trail, some river crossings and some more technical riding along the way (still suitable for intermediate riders). Thanks to our guide, Neil who had... More

I really enjoyed the Crown Peak Heli-Biking tour which I went on in Feb 2017. Our guide was a really friendly and helpful and made sure everyone had a good time and made it down safely. the views were amazing, the terrain was lots of fun to ride. The riding wasn't too difficult and was perfect for an intermediate rider... More

A New Zealander recommended that I try heli-biking. I was game but when we started off, I admit that I was frightened. Greg was so aware of everyone's skill levels. He kept things safe and his attentiveness was reassuring. I thought I would never try something like this again but he gave me positive feedback so maybe I would with... More

My family and I booked an activity with Fat Tyre, and it was great! A helicopter flew us along with our bikes to a mountain summit and the views of the region were amazing! We biked down from there and had a blast! I actually fell off of a cliff, so there are varying levels of difficulty but your guide... More

We did the Long Gully option and it was great fun! Definitely worth doing! The scenery was just amazing and we didn't see another cyclist or person the whole trip! The guide (Neil) was really good and let us go at our own pace and made sure everyone felt comfortable. The surfaces varied a lot and so some of the... More

We booked in a day trip out to Advance Peak for a group of 4. Booking process was very simple and we were told in advance that the trip would be weather dependent so were very happy we ended up with minimal wind and rain. Neil our guide was great - kept us briefed throughout the trip, took photos, super... More

I came and did the MTB tour with two of my workmates. Our tour guide, Neil was awesome - he made me feel comfortable when I was having some doubts about tackling a few of the technical parts of the ride, and he also was great just having a chat with along the way. I have only been riding mountain... More

Can't recommend Fat Tyres more highly. Right from the start booking the trip Greg made things very easy, and was really responsive to messages and queries. Neal our guide was excellent, and the trip lived up to all expectations. We did the Nevis, which worked out as about 3.5 hours on the bikes (including time for a couple of punctures).... More

Greg was able to put my father and I on Advance Peak with little time and by ourselves with our guide Neil. Nice long downhill to start it off then a cruisy ride out to Arrowtown for a beer and food. Couldn't recommend enough !!
