My husband was really dreading this long day on the bus but he was pleasantly surpised with the large glass windows and glass roof tops that provided excellent viewing opportunities. Ian, our guide, was great and quite funny. It snowed the night before our trip and it was still snowing when we reached the tunnel. The mountain scenery with the... More

With a long day ahead it was a pleasure to be confronted with happy and helpful staff at the Real Journey's office before boarding our coach. Our driver, Adrian, was a real hoot with and amazing knowledge of everything to do with the area and entertained and informed everyone on the way. He is clearly a great ambassador for the... More

Amazing trip! Very long day, but our bus driver Adrian was awesome, such a hysterical guy! Was filled with loads of information and gallons of jokes, especially about us Aussies haha. The cruise was spectacular! We were blessed with incredible weather, which really topped off the day! Real Journeys were so helpful all round and helped us organise our other... More

We loved our Milford sound cruise. Starting in Queenstown, it is an all day experience. The bus ride is 4 hours each way but given the fantastic mountain scenery, it was a pleasure. The Milford sound cruise is a truly amazing experience.

We were on a large very comfortable bus stopping at Te Anau for a short break before continuing on to Milford Sound which is really a fiord created by a glacier. It was a long but enjoyable ride with a couple of viewing stops al long the way. The cruise was breathtaking as was the flight back to Queenstown, We... More

I took the Milford Sound cruise from Queenstown with driver Aidan and had a wonderful time. He was a very good guide and always concerned about his passengers. The boat cruise was like many other cruises but the Sound and waterfalls were so serene and breathtaking. It was a windy day and a bit cool but sunny with many people... More

If you have the time, I can't recommend the overnight cruise enough! We cruised out towards the Tasman Sea, where we stopped at Anita Bay. That's where we did the water activities... I kayaked, while my mom went on the tender craft. We both enjoyed our activities, and my mom got to see penguins! The buffet food choices were tasty,... More

It's a long, long bus ride to and from Milford Sound, but if the weather cooperates, it's worth it. The scenery on the way is spectacular, and we stopped often enough to let us stretch our legs and get photos. The cruise itself was wonderful, with world-class scenery. We saw penguins, seals, and dolphins during the trip. I recommend both... More

We did a fly-cruise-fly tour of Milford Sound through Real Journeys, and this was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to Australia and New Zealand! A word of warning...our trip was initially booked in the morning, and when we called to confirm an hour before, the flight was cancelled due to weather. We re-booked on an afternoon... More
