Peregrine Wines are the producers of the Peregrine, Saddleback and Mohua range of wines, located an easy 25 minutes drive from Queenstown in the heart Gibbston. Surrounded by a rugged and majestic landscape, our stunning Winery building has won international awards and accolades for its design and construction, which evokes the wingspan of a Peregrine (native falcon or Karearea) as it glides on thermal air rising from the heated land.Peregrine is a boutique, artisan producer of a premium range of wines that focus on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Chardonnay. It is a brand that since the first vintage has gain reputation both domestically and internationally as one of New Zealand’s iconic wine brands.Come and visit us at the Cellar Door every day from 10am-5pm. We trust that you will leave with fond memories of both our winery and our fabulous wines.

Larger winery with both premium and entry level wines. Our host was lovely and warm as well as knowledgeable about the wine. We liked the Pinot Gris but the Pinot Noirs were, of course, tasty! Stop in if you're driving by.

Excellent wines, both the less expensive and more premium lines, and great knowledgeable staff. They also have very fast internet for the kids iPads.

I've visited Peregrine a few times now, both for the wine and for the lovely setting. The staff are always fantastic and on my last visit Christie was an entertaining and informative host. So far I've bought bottles of the 2014 Pinot Noir and 2015 Sauv blanc - both were delicious.

It was a beautiful warm day when we visited Peregrine Wines. Just a short scenic drive from the nearby Queenstown it was well worth it. The winery is housed in the most unexpected and stunning building that deserves inspection. We received a warm welcome on entering the winery and invited to taste Peregrine's wines. The tasting was free and provided... More

we visit this winery after a cave tour in another winery, this one looks more localized and offers 6 kinds of free tasting wine. The riesling is always not a bad choice and I love Pinot Noir 2014 most.

The building has been used for weddings and concerts, the tasting area is sophisticated and this is a superior establishment. There is no charge for tasting the wines, this encourages one to make a purchase. I would recommend the dessert wine, also the Saddleback Pinot Noir is great value for money.

We had such a lovely visits at this amazing winery! I've been to quite many around in New Zealand, but Peregrine has definitely been the best so far. And Katie that works there is very lovely and knowledgeable.

My friend and I visited on a cold and rainy day. The room was swamped but they handled the crowds well. We tasted 6 wines, including red and white. We enjoyed their sparkling wine and their 2014 Pinot Noir. I liked the modern architecture and setting. A nice experience.

Pros Free tasting - unlike some other Gibbston wineries. Interesting building + historic wool shed on site. Close to Queenstown. Very knowledgeable staff - with no sales pressure. Wines were interesting and worth tasting. Cons You have to get over the mountain range.
