Finding this place was like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, BUT when I did to me it was like an Aladdin's Cave of stunning replicated hand carved artefacts. In my research I had read and heard so much about this gallery...More

There was a variety of locally produced art and so many pieces that tempted me. Because we had limited space for carrying extra items, they padded and packed it up to ship to our home. The ceramic items arrived within the promised time frame and...More

Enjoyed having a look at the varied pieces at this gallery with a wide range of prices. My friend brought a NZ wood ruler, NZ wood pot holder and a gorgeous watercolour in a wooden frame. Lovely, friendly service. Also ceramics, jewellery, paintings

Has a very wide selection of locally carved NZ carvings, masks, totems, etc. But the prices are out of control. The stuff that is bulk sold in all the souvenir shops you can also find here at double the price.

This is a great little gallery/shop with a variety of items for sale. There are mostly wooden items, but also metal sculptures and paintings. The prices can be dear, but then you are looking at a different calibre of goods to the tourist gift shops....More

I loved spending time in this gallery. There was so much talent on show and a pleasure to walk through. If you have a little time to spare and need a break from the fast paced outside, go in and have a look.

My husband and I enjoyed browsing the gallery and speaking with the owner (?). The art is superb and if we were in a collecting mode, we surely would have picked something up. I especially loved the wood bowls, plates, etc.

Really nice woodware gallery, with other authentic and good quality mementos of NZ. Helpful and knowledgeable operator who provided detailed information about products and the background stories and meaningfulness.
