We did the overnight kayak trip and absolutely loved it. It rained almost the whole time so the waterfalls were incredible and it was very atmospheric. Camping was great with good quality gear provided. Take strong insect repellent! Our guide, Tobias was fab, had great knowledge of the area and explained everything very well, and above all he made everyone... More

Thanks Go Orange for such an awesome day!! Incredible views, top quality gear and the best guide- thanks Bailey! She was so friendly, had brilliant knowledge of the sound (fiord), provided excellent banter and wasn't afraid to throw in a joke or two. Would highly recommend a kayaking tour (especially if Bailey is your guide), if it's not on your... More

First of all: the weather doesn't matter. When we went, it was pouring down heavily and about 10°C. And it was magical! All you need to bring is some swim suites and flip flops/thongs and maybe some snack. The tour takes off from manapouri and starts with an hour long cruise across the lake manapouri. At the power station you... More

We went on the 3 day kayak trip with a great guide, Jon - beautiful scenery and lucky to see the pod of dolphins that went right under our kayaks the second day. I would recommend lots of fly spray though in summer, and the company might need to invest in some new tents as some of the zips were... More

I did the 2-hr kayak/2-hr cruise tour, and highly recommend both. The cruise allows you to see the length of the Milford Sound, and nothing really compares to being in the kayak in the Milford Sound. Ollie/Oliver was our guide, and he was superb -- really knowledgeable and fun! Tobias and Aiden (Adan?) were also in the shuttle that transported... More

We were disapponted by our kayak day in Doubtful sound : quite expensive but the service was not very qualitative (no changing room, no warm place to wait for the bus - we had to wait 1 hour outside for the bus to pick-up us). You have around 4h transportation to get there and back, and we had only 2... More

The bus picked up each guest at their hotels around town between 6:00-6:30. Drove us about 40 minutes to a ferry. At the transfer point there is a restroom. You could preorder lunch from here if you like and pick it up before boarding the ferry. We brought our own breakfast and lunch as our travel agent and the Go... More

We spent two days on an overnight trip in Doubtful Sound. We were extremely lucky with the weather, having the first two consecutive sunny days of the season! Our guide, Mop was fantastic, and balanced our mixed experience group well. We were fortunate enough to spot a group of little blue penguins, and heard kiwis calling to each other at... More

Just got back from an awesome 2 night trip. Our guide Jon was excellent, with classic kiwi wit. The scenery was sublime and Jon really knew his stuff explaining geological features, flora and fauna, this made the experience much more imersive. The camp ground was stunningly situated and more luxurious than imagined (it's no hotel but there is a tarp... More
