This is a world heritage site and you will know why once you have spent some time. Get out of your car -walk around , listen , watch , smell , feel this amazing place. There may be places similar to this but we don't often get to visit them and we should cherish and protect them

Great drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound. I special like View in Mirror lake. There are many spots we pull over for pictures.

Highly recommend spending some days here exploring. Wish we would have had more then 24 hours. So much to see, so little time! Can't wait to get back and explore!

There is no doubt that the scenery in this National Park is breathtaking. Many have described it in great detail. You need to know that a New Zealand National Park isn't the same as we know it in the U.S. Things are allowed that aren't possible in our National Parks. The most disturbing thing about this is that the Park... More

The Fiordland NP offers a great variety of different landscapes, starting from the amazing sounds to rain forrests, beautiful lakes, wild mountain streams and alpine mountains. You can spend months exploring the various Great Walks, other tramps or just enjoying the sounds. It is definitely one of the highlights on the South Island

We travelled from Te Anau to Milford Sound in a minibus with stops on the way. Everything we saw took our breath away - mirror lake, chasm, waterfalls, valleys, a tunnel and stunning views all the way. Try to go in a minibus as you would miss a lot in a big bus.

We enjoyed the drive through the park. There are many spots you can pull over for pics. We went with the BBQ Bus Tour from Queenstown - which is a small bus - that was able to stop in smaller locations for great views. We were there on a sunny day - but our driver said it was even prettier... More

We cruised through Fiordland which is magnificent. Went to Milford, Doubtful and Dusky Sounds. It's a must do, the weather can be changeable, we have seen on a clear sunny day and a dark dismal day but still awesome.
