Only thing that's missing is bizarrely enough a water fountain for drinking! Not particularly well signed off the road and not a lot of parking space but otherwise good with a walking trail, small beach, toilets, BBQ facilities and excellent swimming. The water's a strange colour but otherwise safe to swim in and as it's a reservoir, no tide. Surprised... More

Even though there were a heap of visitors to this wonderful place it was still peaceful. Great place for a barbie or picnic. A few sheltered tables and chairs. Lovely views of the dam and a great place to swim and paddle board excellent for the little ones. A beautiful walk through the trees and a beautiful gift of nature... More

A lovely, peaceful place suitable for bbqs, picnics, walking and kayaking. Still, non tidal water makes for easy paddling.

Our 2nd visit for a day walk. Like last time enjoyed ourselves - the scenery and the peace & quiet. The walk along the side of the dam is relatively easy & at different points you'll have a view of a glass house mountain across the water. As others have mentioned this place has picnic tables under shelter sheds &... More

Great for easy walking trails and easy access fishing platforms. Small kids park by the car park. Not many people about so great for peaceful bushwalking in beautiful surroundings by the dam. Dog friendly with dogs on leads.

We visit Ewen maddock dam fairly often and we really like it. There's a great kid friendly swimming spot with a 'beach' so the kids can play in the sand as well. There are picnic tables and bbqs although two were not working on our last visit. There are also nice walking trails which are also kid friendly and a... More

Ewan Maddock Dam is a great place to visit for a picnic, BBQ, spot of fishing (permits needed for over 18s), nice walking tracks, 21 kms of mountain bike trails, horse riding tracks, swimming (in summer), and a chance to enjoy the serenity and beautiful outlooks.

Delightful walk, meandering around the dam. Impressive BBQ shade shelters, a place for the kids to swim and play in relative safety. Not sure how the the Dam is for Naegleria fowleri, colloquially known as the "brain-eating amoeba", is a species of the genus Naegleria, belonging to the phylum Percolozoa. (Summer temperatures suggest this place is the ideal water temperature)... More
