Interesting piece of Australian history

Not a huge attraction, but well worth the visit. We were greeted by a couple of friendly gents who gave us a wonderful rundown of the history of the cottage and the surrounding area of Bathurst. It seems for some time that there was some "confusion" over what this cottage was originally used for.

The building and gardens are worth visiting
The building has a lot of information on the original Bathurst Town development

Interesting Visit

Visited the cottage and found it quite interesting.The admittance fee was reasonable.It was extremely clean and gave an insight to how people may have lived in the past.

very disappointed.

May 2022

After driving around trying to locate the cottage, we were unable to enter as is is rarely opened. I am aware that this establishment is run by volunteers but they are not doing anything to help promote tourism in the area.
