Another great Australian beach

Traveling through Newcastle we had a day to spare and spent it on Nobbys Beach. Beautifully clean with a lifeguard present, it has a nice shop with well priced tasty food.

We run a window cleaning business in Newcastle area and often choose nobbys beach for our lunch stop due to its beauty as well as toilets and fresh breezes. We often see dolphins there as well as whales passing by at certain times of the year. It's a great beach to swim at as well with lifeguards on duty most... More

You can't visit Newcastle without a visit and a walk along Nobby's Beach and foreshore. This is an iconic symbol of the City of Newcastle. Its history is rich with Aboriginal, early convict settlement, maritime and military (Fort Scratchley). The beach is well patrolled, clean with a number of high quality walks including The Bathers Way. Not to be missed.

Escape the crazy hustle and bustle of the cliche Bondi Beach of Sydney and travel 2 hours north to Newcastle. Get the real laid back Aussie vibe you see on TV and movies, with fantastic food and drinks all within walking distance. Nobby's is perfectly situated near top class restaurants with so many cheap eats around from fish and chips... More

Nobbys is a small, safe patroled beach. Nobbys is very picturesque, the light house provides a perfect backdrop for photos, there is fine golden sand which can heat up in the middle of summer (so wear your thongs). There is a rock pool on the southern end for small children, covered picnic tables which overlook the beach (if you aren't into...
