About
Award winning and elegant wines presented in our fabulously modern design interpretation on country style. The Cellar Door is open 7 days a week for wine tastings from 10:30am until 4:30pm. Bookings are highly recommended but walk-ins are always welcome when we have tables available. Before opening for tastings each day, we offer guests a personalised tour of our Wallace Lane certified carbon neutral winery. Bookings are essential; after booking, please arrive before 10am to ensure you don’t miss a chance to step backstage! To enhance your wine tasting experience, we recommend our Ross Hill Wine Flight and Tasting Plate – only $25 per person. Consisting of nuts, cheese, cured meats and chocolate along with other bite size options specifically matched with selected Ross Hill Wines.

Ross Hill winery has very friendly staff and are great hosts.Had a lovely afternoon to celebrate a birthday. The wines were first class..but the tasting plate was a real disappointment. Two of our party couldn't make the event and we were charged $33 per head to cover the extra cost of the two that couldn't make it. Two of our party were non drinkers but we're still charged the same amount.
As a group we were all very disappointed in the tasting plate and considered that it was not value for money. I would not recommend this winery for a function and as there are other wineries in the Orange area that may provide better value for money.

I am very sorry to hear that you found the tasting plate disappointing, this tasting is designed as an accompaniment to the wines, rather then as a platter but I appreciate the feedback.
We do offer custom packages for functions and can tailor a menu to suit any requirements, we hope that you will consider us again in the future as we would love to host you.

We chose the wine and matching nibbles package at $25 each, and we loved it.
We were promised at least 7 different wines with a matching nibble for each - we ended up being offered 9 different wines, so had a great opportunity to sample a significant portion of the vineyards range.
We started with bubbly with olives, and finished an hour and a half later with cab sab matched with chocolate coated pepitas—the other combinations on the way through were great. Our hostess was very generous with her time and knowledge, ensuring an enjoyable and educational sojourn. Highly recommended

My husband and I booked the tour before our wine tasting. James was very informative and entertaining and proud of what he has achieved. We had preordered the tasting plate and it really enhanced the wines. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Orange!

Great location, views, inside is spacious with quality furniture and all round great setting (nice artwork, good window views).
The tasting was great, 7 wines (with other wines poured to try them out too), accompanied by a platter. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
We came back with 20 bottles aprox, and a club membership. Would definitely recommend to others.

The best winery for wine, customer service and authentic staff. The wines where and are amazing. This would be my place to wine taste, do a cooking class, have an afternoon in the sun with friends, have a function.
After doing 12 wineries and reflecting on what we saw over 4 days this winery is at the top of our scoring.
Thankyou Brenda (Belinda) and I love the TL (LT) Chardonnay.

Visited Ross hill over the June long weekend for a tasting.
Great wines and good service.
However our experience was marred at the end. we found out when paying, that the tasting fee was non refundable towards bottle purchases.
This was despite the website and tasting brochure stating otherwise.
Happy to pay for tasting, but would have appreciated the transparency.
Left the cellar door with a sour taste.

I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed our wines and the service, we always strive to deliver a great experience and we are so happy to be open again after what has been a tough few months!
Yes you are right, we have recently changed our policy on the $10 tasting fee being redeemable, the new Covid 19 restrictions state that we have to provide each patron with 7 glasses per tasting as well as many other new rules, meaning that for us; there is a lot more work and staff required to ensure we adhere to the new rules whilst also delivering a quality experience to all of our guests.
I apologise that we haven't had the chance to update the changes on our website and brochures, it has been a very difficult couple of months with Covid 19, resulting in our having to close for several months. We were so elated to be able to open again, but as you can imagine, it has been quite the whirlwind.
Feel free to contact us directly if you would like us to arrange to send you a cheque for the $10.

Us first time visitors visited Ross Hill Winery last week on our few days in Orange, our booking had us four behind the glass overlooking the vineyards. Our host was great and very knowledgeable, so much we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to the staff at Ross Hill wines we look forward to our next visit.

I booked the Canape master class during the evening with Michael Manners.
value for money and learnt a lot of tips through his experience as a master chef, the atmosphere was very welcoming as soon as you arrived at Ross Hill.

Visited over the June long weekend as it was the first time we were allowed to travel regionally. We were so glad that we made the choice to book in to visit Ross Hill Wines. A fantastic way to spend time tasting wine and taking in the fantastic ambiance. The cellar door staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable about their products. The wines are first class and extremely good value for money. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting to have an experience while in Orange

I chose this venue for our wine tasting this holiday due to its proximity to our accomodation and also because of the reasonable tasting charge ($10 per person). We spent almost an hour and a half tasting all 14 wines available and learning a lot about this wonderful family owned winery. A must do in Orange.
