Tasting wine is better when it is an experience. Either a view, a small cellar door with ambience or larger than life staff. While the Mount Pleasant wines are nice the the cellar door doesn't lent itself to a great experience.

If you want to go to a cellar door with fabulous wine, informative friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere then visit Mt Pleasant. The wines here are awesome and varied and the staff at cellar door can never do enough to make your visit wonderful, don't miss out on visiting this when in the Hunter region.

Popped in as I always do when I'm in the Hunter Valley. We were looked after by Kate, she is the person you want to run your cellar door! I was able to walk out with 6 x 2014 Shiraz which was a bonus :)

We were attended to by an older gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable about all the wines, not just what was available at the moment. We got to sample several premium wines and were very impressed by some of them. We will definitely be placing case orders very soon.

This winery was quiet. The wine was good. Nothing particularly special or inviting about the venue it self though. The staff were nice.

We took a private tour of Hunter Valley with Country Trails Private Tours (highly recommend BTW). We visited three wineries plus a distillery. Mount Pleasant was our favorite stop by far. Amy hosted us and was fantastic! She made us feel at home, made us laugh (sometimes uncontrollably) and gave us great information about the wines we sampled. We love... More

Attended this place. Lovely setting and beautiful surroundings. The gentleman who attended us was helpful and keen To help us understand their wine selection and in fact recommended a wine that was cheaper than another as he was of the view that it was a better wine. His experience was worth the time visiting this place. Well done.

Can appreciate the best Australian winery review in 2017 from James Halliday. The wines are excellent quality, both red & white. The staff highly knowledgable & lovely. It's worth paying the $20 premium tasting fee for the wines from the early days. Loved the semillion & the Shiraz. Highly recommend.
