We were treated to excellent service at the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory. Lots of tasting (for free) even samples for the tiny travellers (much appreciated). The factory has tables should you wish to eat onsite but we purchased a cheese board with 4 cheese, sweet pastes, bread and crackers to take away. All very very tasty!

Cheese and I go together well so after visiting the McGuigan's Winery then walking right next door is this great little cheese factory. Had the tasting platter with 5 cheeses, crackers and Tasmania honey to complement the softer cheeses. Brought two cheeses to takeaway not sure how long they will last me.

This place is conveniently located within walking distance to our accommodation, The Leisure Inn. We purchased a Groupon voucher for the accommodation and it included a voucher for a tasting plate for two with the deal. The staff were friendly and helpful with information when we handed them our voucher. The tasting plate normally costs $8 per person. They gave... More

We had a tour and got to taste 5 kinds of cheeses for $8 per person. There is a winery next door so you can also do some wine tasting.

It's been a few years since my last visit and was really disappointed that they introduced charging for tasting which I think is a real shame! We were going out to dinner so didn't want to get full on a tasting plate and therefore didn't buy anything! Obviously sampling is a cost but surely you make it up in sales?... More

We were able to taste 5 cheeses for $8. It was a cheap and nice experience to start the day. If you want you can have more cheese and more food for very affordable price. It would be nice if the staff spend more time on describing interesting facts about their cheese (which now they do quickly in one min).

Lots on offer. Perfect for those who love cheese and picnics. Lots of seats out the front where you can dig into store bought goodies. Right next door to McGuigan wines.

If you're looking for local cheese this is a wonderful place to stop. They offer free tastings of their mustards, jams and chutneys and for $7.95 you can sample 4 of their local cheeses. The staff are friendly and welcoming which makes the experience even better. Try their rosemary, mint jelly it's delicious and a great alternative to quince paste.
