My sister, a cousin and I enjoyed a private tasting on Thursday. Of the five or six wineries visited during our girls' trip, I give the gold star to Ivanhoe. Our hostess Kylie was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome. The Estate is in a beautifully tranquil setting; the metal sculptures are very cleverly done and certainly add interest to the Estate. Thank you Kylie for a lovely afternoon - we will return for sure.

I have been visiting Ivanhoe for the last couple of years. I often get a family visit and friends from overseas, Hunter Valley is a good place for tourists, first thing mostly one of our stop for a wine tasting is Ivanhoe. The staff of Ivanhoe are so friendly and informative specially Jonathan he makes you feel welcome, if you’re not a wine person you end up amazed the way Jonathan entertains.

Top friendly place, family run. Not pushy or hurried. We tried more than the advertised 6 wines under the very knowledgable and humorous eye of Kylie and Steve. Great cheese too. Not as fancy and glam as some others round here but for a great welcome, service and most important of all beautiful wines this is the place to come.

Four of us visited on a Friday afternoon and had a great time. The wines were delicious, the views amazing and the overall experience was laid back and very comfortable. If you are tired of pretentious wine testings then this is the place for you. Enjoy.

Yep, one of the best visits. Wonderful range of whites...through to deep reds. Prices higher than some, moderated with wine club membership, which does allow cases of 6, not just 2x 12 pa. Reds designed to drink now or cellar for 4-8 years. As club members treated to lovely cheese plate. Gorgeous views off the balcony...helpful staff. No cafe.

Wow……!!!!!! Kylie what more can we say the best ever tasting we have had …. A real gem of a hostess - great wines with an absolute full flight of tasting and the best cheese plate…happy days all round and if behave yourself and become a member!!! GOLD

This is my 5th time at Ivanhoe (live in the UK) and I couldn’t wait to take my partner to visit (first ever time in Oz). It lived up to expectations .. we booked a Masterclass tasting and Kylie looked after us. The only downside is that we couldn’t buy the lovely wine to take home with us due to weight restrictions but we will be reviewing the membership. Lewis is a fantastic host! He and Mike took great care of us. The wines were excellent, it was hard to decide which take home (but we managed). The cheeseboard pairing was a great addition to our wine experience. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and would make a wonderful location for a special event. Overall, Ivanhoe is an outstanding stop to make during a Hunter Valley wine tour!

I’ve been to the hunter 50+ times the last 25 years. Ivanhoe is by far my favourite. Family owned and boutique. Amazing backdrop in winter and summer. They don’t rush you and they can read the room I.e if you want peace and quiet they respect that - but if you want a chat and a laugh - they are even better.
