Unearth a 200 million year old mystery from prehistoric volcanic lava in one of the world’s largest Thunderegg Mines. Thunderegg fossicking is a very unique activity for the whole family to enjoy. Admission includes a souvenir miner’s permit and the use of a pick and bucket for collecting your treasures. Thundereggs can be cut for an additional fee. FULLY ENCLOSED SHOES MUST BE WORN AND HATS RECOMMENDED

We had such a fantastic day with the family at the Thunderegg mine. The kids absolutely loved it (so did the adults!) and the staff were fantastic. Very passionate and knowledgable. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun but educational family day out.

You should be able to bring them back but if you are concerned you will need to check with your customs but we have many customers taking Thundereggs overseas on a regular basis and have not been advised of any issues... More
