This is a lovely stretch of the coast to wander along, as I did each morning on a school trip, every day for a week. The waves can be pretty big close to the shore and the current is strong so don't go out too far!

Currumbin is a great place to learn to surf. It's also great for the locals and experienced surfers. There are plenty of parents teaching their kids to surf so it's fairly safe. The signs at the beach tell people not to swim as there is so many people learning to surf. However, people still swim (at there own risk). The... More

What can I say, but a this is a spectacular part of the world. It is our local and we have had many hours of enjoyment swimming, walking and picnicking in and around Currumbin Beach and Creek. Very popular for all ages and a great spot for surfers and swimmers. Has two patrolled beaches for safety while swimming. Great cafes... More

First get an overview from the top of Elephant Rock, then venture down on to a great beach of golden sand. A great walk along a beach so huge that it never seems to get crowded.

Nice beach with lagoon walk. Perfect place to picnic along the river. What a great view, it felt like we where on a island somewhere.

We took a bus to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and from there walked to Currumbin beach. It was a moderately long walk, but weather was cool and breezy. The beach was quite beautiful with a few people enjoying beach activities or just sun bathing. There was a lifeguard patrol here. The Currumbin Beach Vikings SLSC is on this beach and has... More
