Description:

Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar...

Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar River from the comfort of our unique vessels. An informative commentary from our skippers will take you on a historical journey where you will discover the stories and tales that shaped Launceston and the Tamar Valley. Travel in to the heart of the Tamar and view the navigable section of the spectacular Cataract Gorge.

Sample the delights of our local wines and cheeses as you view breathtaking scenery, world class vineyards, historical buildings, rural settings and frequent encounters of fascinating wild life including sea eagles, wild duck, black swans, pelicans, plus many other varieties of water-fowl and occasionally playful seals. One of our passenger recently commented it is like a moving postcard.

It is certainly a 'must do' when visiting Launceston!

We thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing yet informative trip along this beautiful estuary. Our captain, Lynn, was humorous and regaled us with fun and interesting bits of current and historical bits of history. The afternoon tea was pleasant, the wine tasting enjoyable and the entire experience well worth the time and cost.

This time in Tassie I decided to try the Batman Bridge Luncheon Cruise and I'm glad I did. Weather was nice, although we did have a strong wind heading up river to the bridge. Morning tea was yummy with tea/coffee available for the entire cruise. The lunch of mixed meat and salad rolls was delicious as was the fruit and... More

I love boats and history. And this was prefect. I went on two cruises, and they were both informative, and I learnt a whole lot about the history, from flour mills to bridges! One of the cruises had morning tea and a wine tasting. We sat on the bow of the boat and enjoyed the sun and the waves. It... More

We did the 2.5 hour morning discovery cruise with morning tea, coffee, biscuits & cakes. Later a lovely fruit platter and then a wine & beer tasting. Great commentary by the Captain. Lovely smooth sailing up the river and finishing in the Cataract Gorge. Great little cruise.

A great little trip to explore the Tamar Estuary with an amusing and informative commentary, unlimited eats and drinks and a sampling of local wines and beer. Lots of opportunities to observe or photograph local bird life, the vineyards and historical properties which line the river. This cruise had people of all ages aboard: those who were less agile sat... More

It was a grey windy day when we went BUT the trip was still very good indeed. Refreshments were available for the whole trip and a delicious lunch was provided too - super service Toni. As for the commentary it was just great. We could ask questions about anything we saw and we were also given just the right amount... More
