Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described as the perfect home for a caveman. Tours are self-guided with an audio headset and begin via an elevated boardwalk through towering Karri forest. As you journey through the spectacular formations lookout for the carefully lit animal bones and fossils and listen to the stories about extinct animals. Wildflowers are abundant around the precinct from September to November. Located 22km south of Margaret River.

We selected the package for 3 visits and started with Mammoth cave which was a good choice, otherwise it would have resulted quite disappointed. Certainly the least interesting of the 3 we visited, and a bit disappointing that in the end they present just a few bones and no mammoth ones great audio system though

We visited both Lake Cave and Mammoth Cave on a recent trip to MR. Both well worth a visit as both are very different. Mammoth cave is huuuuuge and we found we had more time to look around as the info is via a headset. Lake Cave is with a tour guide and we felt a little rushed at times.

Beautiful cave and the best part is your can go at your own pace which is perfect to be able to just enjoy every part of this cave. Love it and recommend for everyone to go there.

Had a wonderful self-guided tour with the family. This cave was really beautiful inside. The ear pieces were very informative.

Went with my family to Mammoth Cave today. Picturesque surroundings. Self guided audio tour.moderate fitness required for steep steps on your ascent from the cave.

This was a good experience on a raining day. It was interesting and we learnt a few things about mineral deposits. Probably not interesting you younger children though.

This cave is fascinating. Great for a bit of exercise after all the wine I consumed the few days beforehand and cool place to escape the heat. Photos just don't do it justice. Passes are a little pricey but if you have the extra cash it's definitely worth the effort to check all the caves out.

Self guided tour with audio. Interesting history. Not good for people with limited mobility. Lots of steps

Well worth it! Takes about an hour to get through and the self guided tour makes it easy to manage. Suggest taking a jumper and be prepared for stairs

We had a very great experience its a must do. You can take your time as its a self guided tour but you can stay as long as you want.
