Saw lots of little baby ducklings

Beautiful rhododendrans, wonderful children's playground and beautiful walkways. Accessible for people in wheel chairs.

This is a quiet and peaceful spot to enjoy in the sunshine. The gardens cover a wide area along the river and are very well laid out and cared for. My visit was in early spring, so a lot of the plants were not in bloom. There is an extensive rose garden that had only just started to flower. I... More

Situated just outside the CBD and on the banks of the Manawatu River, this is a peaceful and tranquil park, there is a playground for the kids and BBQs available. The is a café and a great train ride. Take a walk around the park and enjoy it

The esplanade is a great place to spend some time, even on a not so nice day. The conservatory is beautiful and when the trees along the road are in full blossom it is stunning. Lovely rose garden and walks through bushs.

I planed to come here to see the cherry blossom. Unfortunately, it's already been the end of season, so I have only seen a few flowers left on the tree. Apart from this, it is still a great park to visit in Palmerston. The playground for children is a great place to visit as well.

Love these gardens. Kids were all excited when riding on the Kiwi Rail and playing on the huge playground. The rose garden has no rose yet, will definitely come back in summer time.

Gardens are lovely, the aviary is worth stopping at and the playground area for kids is great. Lots of tiny ducklings when I visited...bonus! Looking forward to going back later this spring and again to compare the seasons.

Enjoyed our time spent in "Palmy" and had a lovely few hours walking around the gardens. Spent time at the Rose Gardens too and had a beautiful walk along the river. Great place for nature.

Very expensive place for average food. I'd not be tempted to grab a bite to eat here. Grab the kids and go somewhere else in town.
