This was a walk 20m above the ground and above the canopy of the trees so you get a completely different view of the flora of New Zealand. All the major trees of the country are there and are presented in an informative way. The walkway itself is incredible, including the 37m high observation turret with stunning views. If you... More

The walkway above the trees is well constructed but very limited diversity in trees and we only saw two birds. Our slow walk through took just under one hour and you could easily do it in 30 minutes. Good views but you could probably get just as much from one of the free walking trails around the area. In our... More

We stopped here on our way in to Hokitika - thinking lunch and a tree top walk would be fun. Alas, it was not to be - the wifi was down and it was cash only. We were towards the end of our trip and winding down our cash, so at $38.00 each we fell short on the cash front... More

An excellent walk that is not too taxing. The magnificent views are well worth the time and effort. Take the time to enjoy the peace and wildlife.

Many thanks for leaving your feedback. I'm so glad you loved the views from the walkway. Makes all the difference being up high and amongst the treetops. More

This is a great facility for the West Coast. The walk in tree tops has great views, cafe food was nice, and the staff were friendly.

Up above the jungle, metal walk around, only if you climb up the center tower, about 10 floor up, that you can have a better view. I don't think it worth the price but since there isn't much to do at Hokitika, it becomes one of the main attractions.

By chance we stopped here on our way to the glaciers. Despite the technology failure (online tills were offline, cash only) we patiently waited for tickets and strolled up and up into the tree canopy. A bit wobbly in parts, especially the look out tower, but the information literature assured us it was more than safe. Information on the forest,... More

Many thanks for leaving your feedback. Sadly technology isn't always kind to us and I'm so sorry it happened when you were there. I'm glad that it didn't spoil your experience of the treetop. More

The views were amazing, & there was interesting information on the trees, bird life, etc, at each point. We especially liked the thrill of climbing to the top of the look out tower. We had a nice lunch in the cafe after our walk, & bought a few items in the excellent souvenir shop.

Like many outdoor attractions weather and timing is critical. Extremely safe and well put together trip top walk. We were there at noon and while we could hear birds, then were not to be seen. Earlier in the day would have been better.
