Wanted to inform you all that it is closed. There was a big fence around the movie theatre and the last movie that seemed to have been playing was the storks. I don't know when it will reopen.

I didn't go because they are not showing the movie I wanted to see and don't intend to either in spite of it being one of the biggest anticipated movies this year. And I didn't like their attitude when I asked about it either.

Good selection of films, and clear preview by enthusiastic staff. A great way to spend a windy evening in Kaikoura

We noted the box office was open on our way to dinner and stopped and asked to look around. We had seen the film showing but were welcomed to take a look inside. Wished we could go back and see a film.

Thank you for your comment! Please do stop in next time to watch a film if you're ever back in town.

This is a great local historic theatre showing three films a day. And its cheaper than a contemporary cinema. They have a modern digital projector so can show the latest films. Also, they have an actual silver screen, so 3D films look great on it....More
