Seal Swim tour is such a lovely tour company. We were one of the first tours out this season and were offered the option of a full refund due to the water temperature. We decided to brave the cold for the experience and I'm so glad we did. It was unbelievable getting to see the seals up close in their... More

Who knew wild seals could be so friendly - happily frolicking in the (freezing cold) water but thanks to the full body wet suit, you can join them! Get up close and personal and if you're unlucky enough not to have the opportunity, Seal Swim give almost a complete refund!

We were the last trip before the Kaikoura earthquake on Sunday night. The Seal Swim outlet was very professional and equipped us fully with a complete wetsuit, including hood, overjacket, socks and gloves. The only bit that is exposed is the bit of your face not covered by the mask. And I can confirm, they even have masks for short-sighted... More

So glad we stayed an extra day in Kaikoura to do this! The team were very helpful and knowledgeable. Can't believe how close the seals swim to you! Unforgettable experience, thank you!

Visiting from Hawaii my biggest fear was how cold the water would be but I knew this is something I wanted to do so I went for it. I am so happy I did! We had an overcast but calm day and the experience was incredible! Seals zooming all around, playing, coming within inches and then quickly darting around you.... More

This was definitely the highlight of our tour of New Zealand. I really can't say enough good things about it. The company provided everything you need and made everyone feel comfortable and confident in the water. They took out 7 people in our group, including one family with a child of about 12, and we had an incredible time. The... More

I did this with an old school friend who was visiting New Zealand from India(I live here)_. She is a keen diver in tropical waters but has had this long standing wish to swim with seals. I must admit I was somewhat concerned, being less adventurous and not too keen on cold water. We were given wonderful instructions, fabulous gear(... More

We were here two days ago and we can recommend this experience to everybody. Matt and Vanessa were really nice hosts and everything seems to be familiar. No rush, no big company where you are only a number of tourist. Everything was organized grate and really cute bus and boat. Also the skipper (forgot his name) were awesome and helped... More
