Drawn by the famous Utzon, you can definitely spot similarities between this work of art and the opera house on the other side of the globe. The acoustic are beautiful, the roof appears cloud-like and depending on the season and time of day the light...More

Among my favourite places in Copenhagen, this minimalist church (free entry) is a Buddhism-inspired architectural masterpiece of Jørn Utzon who designed the Sydney Opera House. Its location away from the tourist centre yet within 10-min walk from Bagsværd S-tog station means that everyone can appreciate...More

A short train journey and a ten minute walk gets you to this unusual example of Utzons work. Be sure to enquire whether entry is allowed at the time of your intended visit. I had the feeling that we were intruding, even though it was...More

We cycled out to the church. Doesn't look much from the outside but inside the light, the acoustics and the attention to detail in the side rooms and doorways is amazing. He was a visionary architect.

Architecture by Jorn Utzon. Amazing church. In the rooms in back of church there are original drawings from Jorn Utzon and some history about the church. Close to highway so if you as tourist are bypassing Bagsvaerd take 20 minutes to go there.

Having grown up with the Sydney Opera House, it was fascinating to see another Utzon building. Some elements are the same, tiles, concrete, wave like forms but they are very differently arranged. I drove to this attraction so am not sure how easy it would...More

Australians have a high regard for the work of Joern Utzon. He was, after all, the man who designed the Sydney Opera House. The time he spent in Sydney was controversial, with massive cost blow-outs, and short-sighted bureaucrats dictating changes to the original design to...More
