Came across the house by accident and thoroughly enjoyed the tour of it. A fantastic tour guide Mary made all the difference as she was so knowledgeable 😊 . Lovely rose gardens outside to walk in. Not far away from the Honest Lawyer pub which was great for lunch.

This stunning home is set on beautiful grounds in gorgeous gardens. It's a little cluttered with donated items, but beautiful nonetheless.

Dont forget to take cash, they dont have eftpos. I had a rather nice and informative guided visit through this exceptional house. It is packed full of authentic memorabilia from the late 1800's. It is very much worth taking your time to absorb this time capsule. It is also surrounded by a rather marvelous rose garden (which (I will be... More

Found it really nice here. Staff were all very friendly and my guide was nice. It was very good to be able to wonder around on my own and the house was very interesting. I'd certainly recommend coming here if you have an hour or two spare.

This is a little gem. Volunteers greet you and are more than happy to describe the story behind this house. We were shown into the house and left to take the tour. A great deal of effort as been made to maintain authenticity. Each room set a different scene from the 19th century. Well worth the visit. In the gardens,... More

What a great experience visiting this house - from the friendly volunteer who began the tour to the collection of interior items that has been put together over the past few years. We felt we had a genuine insight into the past with this visit - well done

We visited Broadgreen because it was a wet day but, in fact, any day is good. The house takes you back in time and the gardens are beautiful. lots of roses and great trees. Everything well cared for. Allow 2-3 hrs. here.

This house is fully furnished in period style with mostly donations from local families and volunteers act as guides, telling interesting facts and anecdotes about the original owners. It represents excellent value at only $4 admission and gives a glimpse into Nelson's past.

We were the only visitors when we went (midweek morning), and so had a wonderful and interesting private tour of the house which told us so much about the house, its family and life in Nelson in the past.
