Interesting wildlife but kinda dry in May

Went here as part of a tour. Lots of interesting wildlife, but didn't see many crocs. Tour guides were really familiar with the plants, birds and other littlevanimals

They told us a scene from the movie Crocodile Dundee was filmed here. The billabong can vary from dry to massive from season to season.

We stopped by here for a picnic on the way out from Nourlangie and we're not disappointed! A very pretty spot to relax and watch the world go by.

We stopped at Anbangbang Billabong (say that ten times fast without laughing) just over a week ago when we were exploring Kakadu National Park. We did the full hike that took about 60minutes at a leisurely pace, taking time to admire the birds, forests, giant rocks and keeping a wary eye out for crocodiles who are known to live in... More

We did an excellent two hour sunset boat tour and saw a lot of wildlife including birds and crocodiles. This tour is well worth doing and provides great photo opportunities.

Lovely scenery and great variety of bird life including Eagles, jabiru, herons, Jesus birds and many more. Plenty of crocodiles add interest to this lovely area.

We did the whole walk around, about 2.5 kms, which was great, but the most interesting viewing is between the various car parking spots just off the road. Plenty of bird life and water lillies.

Anbangbang Billabong was closed due to flooding when we arrived there in December. Decided to take the short walk (250 m) to Nawurlandja Lookout which started in the same parking area. Glad we did it. A bit of a hike but not difficult. What a breathtaking view! Nourlangie Rocks and sweeping lush forest surrounding Anbangbang Billabong with mountain in the... More

Not much to do here, the walk was okay but probably a bit too dry to see any animals apart from magpie geese. Still okay to do but there are better ways to see the wetlands.
