We did the long 6 km hike along the North rim to the " Garden of Eden" and back over the south rim. Great views and a unique experience in the Red Centre of Australia. The visit was however spoilt by the constant noise of helicopters over the canyon. Sometimes two ((or three) at the same time. Park management should... More

We visited here with AAT Kings and did the Rim Walk. Some say that this is for fit people but while you can't do it with a wheel chair we had several people who were physically challenged (walking stick etc) but managed it. Once you are up the first steep rise it is pretty easy from there. Not really a... More

The view is great. You can walk the rim but have to be fit and take a minimum 3litres of water. We did the base walk through looking up. The scenery was lovely and took lots of pics. The rim takes longer than the base. So after the base was able to then go swimming in a waterhole. That too... More

We were staying at the Emu Walk apartments in Yulara and had hired a car from Hertz for 3 days. We drove to Kings Canyon (about 304ks each way) on one day. Hertz pointed out that the car would not be insured if we drove after dark as cattle on the highway can be a problem. The road was fantastic... More

We visited Kings Canyon over night and half a day and stayed at Kings Canyon Resort. While the sunset view was beautiful, the rooms brought about unwanted guests. There is not much provided in terms of food, so we would recommend to bring some snacks and fruit etc but be sure to keep it well sealed, at risk of mice.... More

We stayed at the resort in the delux spa room and it was everything we expected. We were surprised that the resort was smaller as we thought it would be more on the scale of Yulara, Ayers Rock resort. We were pleased that it wasn't although we would have liked some more dining options. We did all the walks except... More

A really beautiful place. We did the rim walk, which was so varied and really interesting. There are information boards on the way, but we really appreciated the information from our guide and he was a great knowledge on the plants of the area. The steps at the start of the rim walk are the hardest bit, but our (just)... More

This region was one of the most stunning places I stayed in during a trip through the red centre in April. It's a must-do. I drove my 2wd sedan here after staying at Uluru and then went on through the Mereenie Way to the West Macdonnell ranges (yes it's a dirt road but if its dry it's no drama so... More

You must go first light and do the 6k walk. The walk is hard for non fit people there are a lot of steps made in the rocks but WOW what a place you cant stop taking unique photos as everything is just so nice
