After a short but steep climb from the bottom of the canyon to the rim, you are rewarded with a well laid out and reasonably easy 5 km walk during which you are rewarded with stunning scenery. Allow for 3-4 hours at a leisurely pace....More

First off, I have to say that the difficulty of this walk is totally overhyped. It isn't a walk in the park but other reviews I read made it seem like you have to be an endurance athlete to do it, which isn't the case....More

We spent three amazing, breath-taking, spectacular scenery hours hiking through Kings Canyon. The views are well worth the steep climb up. There are many little offshoot walks from the main trail that are also worth doing too.

Our driver Jerry drove us from Ayers Rock to Kings Canyon. He was pleasantly and professional providing informative bits on the way. He offered us the option of walking the creek or the rim. He showed a video to help us decide. The video presented...More

You could probably do this walk in an hour if it wasn't so spectacular and you kept stopping to take dozens of photos! This is something I will remember forever. The first stage is very steep but after that, it's an easy stroll. Everywhere you...More

I agree with another reviewer that there is a lot of guff about the Canyon Rim Walk but if you are a reasonably fit person, just do it. The scenery is amazing. The rock formations are like mini Bungle-Bungle rocks and you are up close....More

This was our favourite part of our outback holiday. It is SO worth the steep climb at the beginning of the rim walk, the views on this walk are incredible. It is like being on a different planet. Be a little wary of the cliff...More

The first recommendation is - START EARLY IN THE MORNING at sunrise! Rim walk takes roughly 3-4 - depending how many "detour" lookouts you stop by. But those are worth every step! There are not words to describe how beautiful and breathtaking the scenery is!...More

Having been there two years ago, my opinion is that the Kings Canyon park area and canyon are beautiful, and adults will enjoy the views, but the kids and teenagers will probably be bored. Also, there is almost nothing to... More

I agree with the previous reply - AAT Kings are the best. I'd wholeheartedly recommend a trip out to Kings Canyon with them. Its a long drive from Ayers Rock and walking the canyon can take over 3 hours with plenty of photo... More
