Our guide took us to the El Limon Beachclub restaurant on the beach at Playa Moron. The food was great but the views and location were spectacular.

In the last 5 years I have seen quite a few beaches in the Caribbean and this one is a tie for 1st with Isla Saona. Both are amazing for two totally separate reasons.

We went after the hurricane and most of the beaches were murky. This one was not and that may have been the reason we were the only people there. One other couple was off in the distance and a local, cooking in the entrance.

The peace is immaculate and pristine. Waters are beautiful and calm for the most part. This a mountainous area so you feel very secluded and private as this provides a natural barrier.

The view is amazing. The area we parked at had a couple of huge estates that were built into the mountainside and over hang the edge of the terrain. There is also a smaller land mass that sits in the horizon and adds to the visage.

The thing I love best is it is away from the "tourist" world that most of the Dominican Republic is known for.

So peaceful and relaxing. The waves were just right for wading. Wasn't much to see for those who like to snorkel. There are no chair and cots to rent. Bring your towels. The amazing view makes you feel like you're on the island all by yourself.

While traveling the world we started in the Dominican Republic. We have visited many beaches but this one is definitely a memorable one. Personally, we rented a scooter and drove ourselves to Playa Moron beach but this way might not be for everyone, a car would be safer haha. It's sort of in the middle of nowhere and the entry road can get muddy, especially after a rain, but the trip is totally worth it. Expect to spend a good part of your day here because it does take a while to get to. We suggest packing a lunch, lots of water and snacks. The most amazing part of our day was when we saw kids riding horses on the beach like they didn't have a care in the world. If you would like to see a video on our day at Playa Moron beach it's on our YouTube channel at 2travelinglovers

We found this beach with a privately guided ATV tour. It is extremely remote and feels like something out of a Hollywood movie set - unbelievably gorgeous. It is challenging to find, but worth it. We got there on ATVs from downtown Las Terrenas, but it seems like it would take about 30 minutes to drive to from the middle of town.

Very easy to find, just head east from Las Terrenas, stick to the coast, you can't miss it. So peaceful and beautiful here, with an unusual large grassy area under the palm trees for shade.

Gentle water, no riptides, few people and we saw a higher proportion of local Dominican families here than any where else.
Was really really lovely.

This is a wider beach with very nice sand. Like many of the beaches in the puerto plata area, the sand is like cooper color powder. I think is a very nice place to stay and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
