We took a 20 minute ATV ride here 4 times during our stay in las Terrenas. The surfing waves were better here and the beach is beautiful! We rented surf boards from the Carolina Surf School

Playa Bonita can be divided into two parts; Playa Bonita and Punta Bonita. Punta Bonita is the place to go! Less waves and less people.

We stayed in a villa on this gorgeous beach. It was so beautiful and quiet. Lots of Europeans and Canadians. It’s a good mix of homes and hotels. A few good restaurants.

We took the drive from Las Terrenas hoping to discover another beautiful "playa" . While picturesque, there has been a lot beach erosion. It's sleepy here as well with very few people scattered about, although as evidenced by the housing that is here, there used...More

Very beautiful beach where you can find peace of mind. There were almost no people but it was probably because the weather wasn`t that good. It was in the dry season (January), however, the weather was crazy and and bit rainy.

Walk to the end of the walkway to the left and continue going until you reach the tip of playa bonita. It's called punta bonita. Best sunsets

I suggest you ask on the Las Terrenas forum. You'll get answers from people who live in the area. I was there once only for sunset and it was super calm in the east part, but because of trade winds, it may depend on the... More
