This must be one of the most beautiful beaches ever. Absolutely stunning. Transport is needed so if you aren't staying in the area you would have to get a taxi. Lovely beach bar, little expensive but worth the price to sit and look out over the ocean at sunset.

Very good beach, only few people, waves are pretty cool, everywhere is sand, 200 meters in the sea deep of watter is low :)

Probably the quietest stretch of beach populated by hotels, restaurants and private homes in Samana, sections of this gorgeous beach starting to be taken over by beach chairs serving the private residential developments. Do not let them! Go to the right of the main road to enjoy the lazy river entering the ocean, an additional small beach ideal for kids... More

We liked Playa Bonita with its relaxed vibe, surf hire shop and walkway with hotels and restaurants and wish we'd discovered it earlier during our stay in Las Terrenas area.

One of the places you can't miss in Las Terrenas. Calm and relaxing, bright and cheerful, the sun slowly fades away. I could smell the salt coming from the beautiful sea. The sun was is bright as the moon shining on a dark night. Golden sand between my toes and clear water to enjoy.

One of my favourite beaches in the world, since I was a teenager (currently in my 30s.) Due to development in the area, this beach has changed quite a bit since I first started to visit. However, it still maintains its charm as a quiet, relaxing, hidden treasure. Not much people go, unless it is during a dominican long weekend,... More

we were staying in Las Terrenas and took motorcycle rides for 200 pesos each to Playa Bonita and stayed for 2 hours, walked the beach, had lunch at one of the restaurant at a hotel and came back with the same drivers. Great day, experience and lunch. I highly recommend this day trip.

Plata Bonita is always a great place to enjoy a day with family and friends. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the small bay from any place. There are quite spots for kids as well as good waves (on season) for surfing. You can find also some good food at the small hotels beachfront. A place not to be... More
