With a family in tow, we went to the Giant Stairway. It is great fun and provides a reasonably cheap activity for the whole family.

This was a quick, steep, ride to the bottom of the rainforest--a bit of an andrenalin rush going down. We then walked back up to the top. The path is well graded and there are interesting points of interest along the way up.

Take the stair down from Echo Point and walk around the base of the cliffs past Katoomba Falls and catch the Scenic Railway back up. The stairs are a little precarious for those with a fear of heights but just grip the hand rail tight...More

First did this trip in 1969 and though the carriage has changed the thrill is still there. Must do this trip. The park itself, Scenic World, has made it a more world standard tourist attraction but not completely diminished the old world charm of this...More

Would have loved more interaction from the staff before boarding the train. Our previous visit was so much better. We had worded up our visitor on what to expect and it did not happen.
