Opened 17 November 2012, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre features the Blue Mountains City Art Gallery and World Heritage Exhibition which is devoted to education about the distinctive environment, history and culture of the Blue Mountains region. The Cultural Centre is co-located with the new Katoomba Library. The Cultural Centre showcases innovative, diverse, distinctive and creative cultural programs for enjoyment by residents of, and visitors to, the Blue Mountains. Built on the highest point in Katoomba with panoramic views of the World Heritage area, it links the main shopping precinct on Katoomba Street through enhanced pedestrian connections.

A very small amount of exhibitors and art pieces. The installations are good but the exhibition has little to offer. Lack of aboriginal contribution in an area where we expected to see and experience lots of. Was really uninviting. 😟

This place seems quite new and is very clean. There's a coffee shop which is great. I was disappointed that all events/exhibitions were ticketed - nothing free so if you're on a budget perhaps give it a miss or ring ahead.
