The pelicans are still there waiting but they are no longer fed. They just haven't worked it out yet. With a huge ocean teaming with fish, what do they need to be fed for? Good on you Kingscote for stopping......

Great low key event with the Pelican Man acting as host and feeder. Pelicans up close. Inexpensive and educational. Would recommend it to families.

We went to see the pelican being fed but the person was a no show!! The pelicans were awesome to look at. Not sure if we need to pre book so that they know that people will be there to watch pelican being fed but it was awesome to see pelicans. We think that the pelicans know that they get... More

This guy employed bully tactics to extract $5 out of us. There was no signage to say how much entry was, the show was nearing the end when we arrived, sat for 2 minutes and then when attempting to leave he blocked the entrance demanding $5. Refusing to pay we left. If I had paid, where was my receipt? I... More

Advertised in a lot of the brochures. Got there early with a lot of other people, including those Pelicans. Waited waited and waited, even gave them half an hour past the advertised time and no one turned up to feed them. What a lot of crap.

This gentleman has been feeding the pelicans for a very long time. I remember seeing him 21 years ago, but then there were just a few pelicans and we stood on the beach. Now there is a deck for the birds, and benches for the tourists to sit on. The pelicans are so eager for the food, that they started... More

There seems to be some negative reviewing of this attraction but we found it very entertaining and interesting to watch and listen to. For a measly $5 per adult and $3 per child I'd say it was well worth it. Take your video camera and watch it back again later.

While the experience was fun, its not until you are seated and the show is about to start that the "entry charge" is explained. I don't object to paying the money, but you really should have some signage that outlines the fees to save some people's embarrassment.
