Visited on a cool rainy afternoon, and Lisette couldn't have been nicer. Was knowledgeable about the wines, and the family history of the winery. Didn't feel pressured to buy (but we did, and enjoyed it with dinner that evening). Will certainly lookout for this label back in Sydney.

This family run winery is 23 kilometres south of Bicheno on the Tamar Highway. If you like your Pinot Noir they produce a consistently good drop. Also very good Riesling, Chardonnay and Botrytis Sweet White. You get to talk to the wine maker rather than an employee which is great.

Friendly staff and plenty of wine to try but sadly no olive oil or beer from the brewery. Tried a sparkling which was obviously flat and a Pinot noir which was nice. Overall a little disappointing and could be so much better.

Going the great eastern drive with my wife, I had to act quickly while under the wheel when she spotted the olive oil part of Freycinet vineyards sign. She had to have some, now! The straight drive from the main road is pleasant with a neat row of trees on one side and healthy looking cows on the other side.... More

Lovely experience, was served a few lovely wines with note to the Louis Chardonnay and the Riesling. Lovely and cosy atmosphere. Olive oil was delicious but the cheese platter and the local beer left a little to be desired. John was a lovely character, really friendly and provided a plethora of information about the wines.

Visited with a group of wine lovers, restaurateurs, sommeliers and industry workers. Whilst the appreciation for their wines is still high the cellar door experience really underwhelms. It could be so much more as its located in such an excellent place with plenty of visitors right on the doorstep. As an example of what can be achieved you only have... More

We enjoyed our tasting here, with generous samples and a lovely young woman serving who was chatty and sweet. Although the winery is less scenic up close (there are some renovations going on at the moment), driving up to it with the olive trees and vines it looks quite beautiful. The wines were nice, and we absolutely loved the olive... More

An afternoon of wine tasting we finished here at Freycinet Vineyards. The whole set up as you park near the wine vats is unsightly and the inside the actual cellar door is dated and non welcoming. So much potential but needs to lose the old couches and oil heater warming the room. The young girl serving was lovely however offered... More

Never been to a vineyard that makes you share a glass with your partner. My husband and myself were given 1 glass to use for the tasting of 2 wines we tried. The young lady was not that friendly and not very interested.

We passed a few cellar doors on our way up from Hobart. Freycinet Vineyards was the only one I visited because I was keen to taste its pinot noirs which have a high reputation. Sadly, they did not do it for me. The chardonnay was good though and I bought a bottle to bring home. Pretty much the full range... More
