Called into ask what we could see in the Deloraine area and discovered the visitor centre offered the best entertainment. A historic home and pub full of interesting pieces with detailed information. Outside is a range of historic buildings to view. Well with the visit and small entry fee.

Nice people staff this centre. We browsed the giftshop, made a few purchases and asked about eateries...nice lady found us a listing to take with us and also gave us a walking tour booklet which we followed the next day. Based on the experience, when our booking at Hotel Deloraine went haywire, we made a beeline back to the Visitor... More

Our first call in town. Very helpful. Nice view from back deck. Even had cemetery records so we could do some family history research while here. Also a nice range of local produce and souvenirs

We came predominantly to see the "Yarns" exhibition which was promoted on TV. It was definitely worth the trip as the craft was so skilled and really beautiful. We were fortunate the lady who was instrumental in getting the community together to get the project started and who also participated in the sewing was there talking about that process and... More

The staff very quickly found and booked satisfactory accommodations in Deloraine for us, but other than a one-page summary sheet, could not offer useful advice on hiking in the Great Western Tiers (a major regional attraction). In February 2017, they were still completely unaware of major road and trail closures due to flooding in June 2016. Go to the Information... More

Hello Jim I'm very sorry that you didn't receive the information needed at our centre. In general the team has a good knowledge of road/trail closures and we have been updating local businesses of same for many months now. We are very aware of the situation/s. We also receive direct contact from Parks about new works etc. I can only... More
