Easy to walk down to the bottom of the falls if you are mobile, roughly 200 steps. Nice views, although Hopetoun falls is more impressive.

Lovely beautiful waterfalls. Certainly worth the trip down to the bottom of the falls to get the best view for photos. Just perfect. Just make sure you visit during the months from may-august as this is the time we get the most rainfall for the...More

What a beauty! The waterfall itself was stunning but the surrounds too. The ferns and the moss covered rocks and the rocky stream, I was just in awe (probably because I come from a very dry country town). The 5 minute viewing platform is quick...More

Was told this is the 2nd best thing to see in Lorne so we went for a look. Personally I'd say, its hands down the best thing to see in Lorne. There are quite a few stairs down and it is hard work to get...More

We decided to walk from Lorne to the falls. This a 7.5km walk along the creek that is rated as Strenuous. The walk is beautiful and breathtaking but in the wet weather, those few segments including the creek crossing can be tricky. Make sure to...More

Don't travel along the Great Ocean Road through Lorne and not go inland to Erskine Falls. Waterfall is a pretty sight as are the very tall trees and the wide variety of ferns. A shallow step path leads from the car park down to the...More

Haven't been for over 20 years good to visit again. Well worth the walk and feeling like you're going to die coming back up

A place worth seeing. Lots of tall trees. Lots of steps but worth the time and effort to get right down to the bottom of the falls.

We stopped at the (helpful) Tourist Information Centre in Lorne when travelling the Great Ocean Road and were recommended a short diversion to Erskine Falls. It is maybe a 12km or so drive up the winding Erskine Falls Road through the forest. The car park...More

I agree with Pauline's answer. There is plenty of room to pull in. Maybe try to avoid the busiest parts of the day during the holiday period as the carpark may fill up.

It's not a good idea as it is very rocky and doesn't have any ideal pools to sit in
