The ghostly remnants of an exhausted sand and gravel operation on the outskirts of London, ON form the heart and soul of Southwestern Ontario’s most exciting public golf course. FireRock Golf Club - a dazzling Tom McBroom championship design - continues to take its spot among the best public golf facilities in the province in a private-like country setting.Framed by natural grasses and trees, captivating land forms and ragged handmade bunkers, this stunning course flows effortlessly over pastureland, across environmentally significant Savannah grasses and the Oxbow River valley, intertwining with existing gravel spoil piles. The challenging par-72 championship design (73 from the forward tees) measures 5,672-yards from the forward White tees, 6,279-yards from the Blues, 6,676-yards from the Gold tees and stretches back to a very demanding 7,183-yards from the tips. While many of McBroom’s masterpieces are at private clubs, FireRock offers a chance for the public player to experience a brilliant design at a reasonable price. The variety and challenge of the holes is designed for golfers of all skill levels. FireRock draws discriminating golfers from across Southwestern Ontario, the GTA, Niagara Region and Michigan.

Firerock is one of the best public courses I've played for the money. Only $55 including the cart equipped with GPS. This course is beautifully groomed. The layout allows for a wide variety of holes so the course is interesting as well as picturesque. The course has nice wide cement cart paths throughout the 18 holes so it is playable... More

This course has been carved from forest, ravines and open terrain. Each hole presents its own challenges which include the creek, traps, hills, trees and tough little par 3's. The course is carefully maintained as noted even yesterday, October 26, with leaves dropping everywhere in the countryside, but, NOT evident on the fairways or greens of Firerock. All cleaned up... This is a hidden gem in South Western Ontario. They don't advertise on golf now and other internet channels but it is a truly first class course and the view is breath taking. It is A challenging course, not for beginners but if you love golf, you will love this course.

I have received excellent feedback from guests at my son's wedding. From the ceremony area through the cocktail period and the dinner every aspect has received high praise. Rave reviews for the ambiance and the food. On a personal note, Melanie was fabulous for the bride and groom to work with. Making the event as stress free as possible and... More

Nice clubhouse and staff. Course layout very nice. Enjoyable to play EXCEPT something needs to be done about the bunkers. Some of the worst bunkers I've ever played (and I play about 60 rounds on a lot of different courses. Hard packed dirt and small gravel and rocks. Puts scratches in your clubs. Also they steep grass banks that are... More

I am accustomed to playing on private courses but recently had the opportunity to play at FireRock. I was very impressed by the condition of the course and the challenging layout. An outstanding golf course, complimented with great amenities. Easily the best public course you will find in the area.

Purchased a groupon for this course as we had never played it but had heard good things about it. All staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. The starter had a good sense of humor and was very helpful to the point of even watching our tee shots on the 10th hole as it is a blind shot to the... More

Everything was first class. The cart/bag guys, pro shop and starter. Course was in great shape and for a change it didn't hate lefties lol. Very organized starter too. The food at the turn was good and the bar staff and beer cart girls were always smiling and pleasant. After our round our group had various appetizers and they were... More

We had a small business golf day, everyone enjoyed the course. The price to golf was good value for a course of the caliber. Enjoyed the round.
