Middleton Beach is perfect for a little dip with little ones. The sand is super soft, the water is warm - warmer than outside and it's very picturesque. Be careful when walking in and out of the water of the odd sharp/broken shells. There are...More

This beach has everything. A protect area to swim in safety. Floating pontoon to dive off. Free parking that backs onto the beach area. Places to eat and drink. Whats not to like?

I loved that there were runners, cyclers, lap swimmers, rowers, paddle boarders, and surf patrollers on this beach. It was a hive of activity yet there was always plenty of room for everyone. I love the cafe on the beach (Three Anchors) and the boardwalk/walking...More

Lovely spot if you enjoy the beach, a little bit windy but it is Albany lol. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Albany.

Suspect it depends on the direction of the wind on the day you visit, but we were lucky enough to visit on several days with southerly winds and Middleton beach was a really sheltered, sunny place for a swim, beach walk and relax on the...More

You won’t want to leave it. Great for kids, safe beach with shallow waters and a playground for small kids. Just make sure the weather is sunny .

Soft white sand, pleasure to run, walk and swim. Not busy. Easy access and good cafes nearby. We enjoyed it in the best weather imaginable and with clouds and wind - always stunning.

Middleton Beach provides opportunities for all. There is a coffee shop with visuals to the newly renovated play area. There are also walks along the beach with shells to collect and access to the town boardwalk. It also has picnic areas and generally a place...More

We walked from Middleton Beach along the boardwalk into town. It was also a stunning walk along the beach to Emu Point

Small playground, bbq, lawn area, beach with toilets. Surf club. There is a playground for kids too. Some construction in the area means access is not as easy but still very accessible. Can get busy during the holidays.

The Ellen Cove Broadwalk follows the coastline from Middleton Beach all the way into the Albany Port in town. Access by foot or by bicycle is reasonably good. It's roughly 6km.
