It offers good surfing, sheltered corner with shark nets and pontoon, beautiful views to the islands, long beach walks and bike rides (push bikes), good location between Emu Point to centre of town and opportunity to have a coffee/meal on both ends.

This is a truly great beach. Closed to the old town and near to many restaurants, yet pristine and uncrowded. A few miles of white sandy beach, perfect water and it has even a large enclosure to swim for shark protection.

Glad we visited on a weekday and when windy. I can only imagine how busy this area must get in summer although, without walking too far, I'm sure its spread out sand will always provide space. An area is netted to keep sharks out and...More

Really beautiful spot with turquoise sea and white sand. Good facilities for toilets and showers. A few cafes and restaurants adjacent to the beach. Definitely worth stopping a while or taking a swim in the area protected by netting which is ideal for families.

The Ellen Cove Broadwalk follows the coastline from Middleton Beach all the way into the Albany Port in town. Access by foot or by bicycle is reasonably good. It's roughly 6km.
