Tall trees

Interesting drive through with lovely tall trees. Not much else to see but worth a visit if you can't get to Pemberton.

On our way from Bunbury to Busselton, we saw a sign saying alternate scenic route to Busselton. Lovely tall trees line the road, sometimes very close to the road, so I wouldn't recommend driving through here doing high speeds or at times when kangaroos are liable to jump out.

Getting into the forest and appreciating these magnificent tuart should please anyone but you need to be looking up. If you look down, you'll see a carpet of arum lillies and introduced grasses - virtually no endemic flora at all. It's a crying shame that this area isn't managed at all well as far as conservation goes.

beautiful drive in spring when the flowers are out but something we didn't see in any guide is the existence of t he Ross river virus. no cure (apparently). carried by mosquitoes, so make sure you use repellent

On your way to Busselton, take a detour just off the highway an go via Tuart Drive. Beautiful big trees and scenery, worth the time to enjoy this peaceful forest.

A great experience to drive through this nature wonderland. Not very long in distance, but worth a side trip on the way past.

These beautiful trees create a calming canopy to drive through. We have never seen so many callas. Get out of the car and enjoy the bird life and variety of flora. So pleased we took this urn off.

Pleasant Sunday morning drive on the way South. An abundance of green as a result of the winter and autumm rains. Carpets of while "lilies" throughout the forest. Plenty of other attractive flora to enjoy. No wildlife visible. Well worth the detour and a leisurely drive away from the racetrack.
