It took us between 2.30 and 3 hours to reach the place and come back from it to Mascut. The place there is so nice and the scenery is amazing. There is a cafe/restaurant there and you can also bring your own food or even bbq there. You can also swim in the water pools but for the ladies it's... More

We took a full day tour to Wahiba sands and Wadi bani Khalid, from Muscat. The tour was 9 hours and approximately 7 hours was travel time spent in 4X4. Wahiba sands experience was not good after doing a desert safari in Dubai which is much much better without the travel time. Then it was to Wadi Bani Khaled which... More

This is another great valley to explore in Oman.. Beautiful rocky mountains with interesting hike and amazing walkways beside the natural water pools.

Takes 5 minutes walk from the parking to get there and it's completly gorgeous. Sit still and have your legs have a free fish pedicure (they are hungry!). Don't forget shoes you can go in the water with, because you can walk up the river and do some easy canyoning back to the wadi. Girls, it's advised to stay dressed... More

We enjoyed swimming here and visiting this unique and beautiful spot. There is a cafe too which makes it quite easy. As with many Omani sites, litter can be an issue, but this is still well worth a visit.

This wadi is amazing. A must see for every Oman traveler. From the parking you'll walk in 5 minutes to the first wadi area. Great views, good swim, and a restaurant for a refreshing drink. The secrets of this wadi are further up. Follow the river on the right hand side, follow the signs for mukah cave and you'll come... More

it is best to go on wadi bani during normal days but not during public holidays. the place is good for trekking as well, lot of space to swim. also there is a small cave a few kilometers ahead. the only issue is there are no toilets:)

So, we went on a holiday and it was packed with people. The girls wore a shirt on top for respect to the local culture and still caught the attention of many but who can blame them? Anyhow, nothing more than some men overlooking or getting noisy as they saw them but no incidents at all. The place itself is... More

It may have been due to it being Eid, but the Wadi was really busy. There was a nice atmosphere of people having fun. It was much busier than Wadi Shab, so we didn't enjoy this Wadi as much. Had it not been as busy then I'm sure it would have been just as good. My advice would be to... More
