A random road trip led us to Woodstock where we found the Woodstock Art Gallery and were so glad we did. It houses three different exhibits, each of which we appreciated seeing. Admission is by donation, which makes it an affordable place to visit no matter your life circumstances. We've added it to our list of places to return to and would recommend it to anyone else who appreciates Canadian art.

Very beautiful modern art gallery, with an elevator making it accessible. Good display areas, and works of art. An excellent way to spend some time when taking a walk dowtown.

The paintings of local artist Florence Carlyle were not on display during our visit due to conservation work (though one will be part of an exhibit shown around the world). We did however, enjoy the varied indigenous works on display on the main level and the community gallery. The highlight for me was the work of local artists on display on the second floor. The works are vibrant and inspirational particularly the works depicting scenes in nature. Woodstock should be very proud of this wonderful space and of all the work of talented artists on display.

Nice collection of works of art, space available for functions and kids programs. A nice asset to have in a smaller city. Hopefully more people will visit and take advantage of it.

There are currently three levels to the Woodstock Art Gallery. The first floor has a lovely little shop with great prices on handmade items. Inside there was a show of paintings by a local artist from the gallery's collection. On another floor was the juried art show - some great talent there. The gallery also has classes for children and when we were there had a display of local sustainability incentives.

The building is very nicely refurbished and the gallery is not large ... after all it isn't the AGO or the Met.
In general, it is a very typical local gallery showcasing local artists and their works.
Is it worth a stop ... yes ... as are all other local galleries

Very nice art here. However you walk through the entire thing in about 15 minutes, and thats including stopping to enjoy each piece.

I enjoyed my visit greatly. The gallery is not large, but has enough interesting exhibits to be worth an hour or two of browsing.

This is the former John White retail store that the city has totally rebuilt as an Art Gallery. Whites had the first elevator in Woodstock.
