Many artifacts that have been donated over the years add to the volume of items to see. Learning of the Giant from Willow Bunch was also interesting!

It was a very interesting museum. Lots of local artifacts, the original chapel of the convent and of course a room dedicated to the 8' 3'' giant Edouard Beaupre.

This is a great museum. There is lots to see and the building itself is impressive. The Willow Bunch Giant exhibit is a one of a kind and there are many other very well done exhibits on a variety of subject matters. The First Nations exhibit is particularly good.

After driving through the southern Saskatchewan badlands stopped in to visit the Willow Bunch Museum located in a former convent school. Nine rooms and corridor displays that includes and features the local giant (8 ft 3 in) Edouard Beaupre, pioneer, chapel, hospital, tool, school and homemaker displays. Five $ cash admission was well worth the price. You need at least an hour to view all the information.

This museum contained some unique aspects to it. The story of the Willow Bunch giant was the story of a man who allows himself to be taken advantage of to support his family. Its a story of a man's strength and the nastiness of mankind. The story was long and twisted but finely ended giving this man the peace and dignity he deseved. It was interesting comparing my hand and foot to his. I liked the life size statue.
The school class room was interesting in that it had class pictures in it. It was fun looking at the dress styles and hair styles.
The First Nations\Metis exhibit would have been very interesting to look at but the smokey smell didn't allow much time to be spent there. Its to bad because you don't often find out about the Metis story from the Metis viewpoint. It was a missed oportunity.
The Pioneer part of the museum was similar to other museums. The interesting part of that was the clothing display as well as the cattle brand display.
The stairs would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.
They seemed to have a nice camping area. The pool definitely looked inviting.
Overall I would say this museum is worth the diversion. The rolling hills and scenery make the drive pleasent while the museum offers something unusual.

I had gone to see the likeness of the willow bunch giant before and wanted my grand children to see him as well.
The museum itself has lots of good artifacts and First Nations artifacts are very interesting.

We were camping nearby and decided to pop in the museum. First, and only disappointment, is that it's cash only. We were immediately turned away and told where the nearest ATMs were located. Upon our return, we really enjoyed the museum. It's very well laid out. Each room of the old convent is dedicated to a different theme. Of course there's the giant's room with many of his original possessions including 9 foot bed and massive coat, as well as a school room, pioneer kitchen, doctor's office, and technology room. The newest area is a room dedicated to the Metis settlers of the area. There is an impressive number of artifacts throughout the museum. Our 6 year old was fine to look, but not touch, however our 3 year old was repeatedly tempted as many of the artifacts are in the open. It was a great way to kill an hour and the price was right.

This is a lovely local museum housed in an equally lovely historic building (1914 Sisters of the Cross Convent School). The displays are well organized on two floors of the building and are continually being updated by a friendly and enthusiastic group of volunteers.
