I have been attending both yoga and barre classes. Love, love, love! Instructors are non judgemental and provide simple instruction. Atmosphere is welcoming and calming. Thank you, Modo!

It is now called Modo - I've been to the Stoney Creek location on the Intro Month program that they have! They offer different styles of classes and even a Barre class if you want a great workout to tone difficult muscle groups while taking a break from the hot room (you can schedule them so you do a stretch and unwind class directly after - very calming!). After just having a baby, this intro month program was the perfect incentive to get me back on track in a positive and stress-relieving way. Would recommend even if new to yoga!

My experience here has been amazing for my intro month. The instructors are super friendly and motivating. They have a lot of classes at different times during the day so it’s easy to fit into my schedule. Will be getting the membership!

I've been to the Modo studio in Stony Creek almost every day during my intro month. The benefits have been unbelievable. Such a great way to feel grounded and keep the body flexible and active. I excited to deepen my practice and grateful to the welcoming environment and yoga instructors.

Modo (formerly Moksha) is a fabulous yoga studio. They have a warm, welcoming community feel. They keep your practice interesting with a variety of classes and knowledgeable instructors. The instructors are available for questions and guidance. The owners are hands on and always available to their customers. They also offer fun and interesting challenges ie 30 day, and community supporting functions ie monthly donations to a community charity in need, Christmas drives and so much more. Their fees are reasonable with discounts if you buy packages. I highly recommend this studio to newbies and the seasoned yogi.

Moksha Yoga, now known as Modo Yoga, provides an excellent way to combine strength, flexibility and mindfulness into your exercise routine. I bought an Intro Month pass for $60 which provides unlimited access to their classes. There are several different types of classes and levels of hot yoga, allowing you to start off mostly on your mat, before advancing into faster paced flow classes. For a real challenge, and one that I'm saving until I have a bit more experience, they offer one class per week of hot yoga with weights. As well, as with most yoga studios, there are weekly karma community classes. Some classes are done in candlelight (not real!) and with music and most classes provide ongoing instruction. But if you prefer to flow with focus, there's a Follow the Yogi class during which the instructor does not talk.

Additionally, they offer Barre classes which are so much fun! Performed in a cool room with big windows for natural light, funky fast paced music and great instructors. These strength training classes target the core, shoulders and hips in ways you probably never thought of. Most movements are minute but seem to impact the muscle deeply. Weights are used for the upper body work and they range from 2 to 10 pounds. If you are accustomed to doing weights in a gym, this may sound too light, but the movements are much different than typical gym exercises so you will likely feel a challenge to your muscles. Body weight exercises are done for pushups and tricep pushups, squats are sometimes done on tippy toe, sometimes with weights. Many leg exercises are done by squeezing a ball between your legs, which seems to activate multiple muscles all at once. This class may look easy to those used to piling on iron at a gym, but I observe most people need mini breaks during the class, so there's definitely a challenge!

Hot yoga is intense, creating sweat with minimal effort, but I've noticed many benefits already. My posture feels better. I feel calmer. My joints and muscles feel much more mobile, soft, flexible and not stiff or achy. I feel much stronger, as the poses seem to target areas that are typically weak for people, especially in the core. It seems to change my metabolism as I have less of an appetite and crave healthier foods. Bonus! Yeah!

My main reason for trying hot yoga is to cross-train for swimming. I already notice an improvement in my swimming - more flexibility provides better form and allows more intense training.

The studio is in a pretty new building, is very clean, has three women's showers, lockers, a change room and free parking. The instructors are awesome and the positive energy there is addictive.

Absolutely love it here. I'm just finishing the intro month special and I find myself going to a class almost everyday. My favourite class is the barre in stoney creek. Its a really amazing workout taught by some amazing teachers. I'm always looking forward to going to class and doing things at my own pace. No one makes you feel unwanted or embarrassed. Would highly recommend.

Moksha yoga Dundas provides a very warm and welcoming atmosphere to yogis of all experience levels! Some yoga studios can seem a little exclusive or elitist, but not this studio. The staff and instructors are so friendly and accepting. I'd recommend this studio to beginners and experienced yogis alike!
