Great location if you have a reservation, you must park in the Tews Parking Lot. Walkins are not permitted during the fall season. Your reservation guarantees you a parking space for only 2 hours. There is no other parking available in the area. Bylaw patrols all areas including the local Greensville school and will issue a $315.00 dollar fine plus you will be denied entry.
Now the falls themselves have very little water going over them. The trails are clean and well maintained, wear good footwear. Once at the end of the trail you overlook Dundas and surrounding railways and winding roads. The lookout is fenced so stay behind it for safety. One of many waterfalls in the area.

Although the scenery was wonderful and the trail was quiet. The parking fee of $16 was overpriced for the 1 hour 9 min it took us to complete the 6km of hiking we did. We will not be back and due to the steep parking fees for hinking in Hamilton, we will be looking for hiking access with lower costs.

Visited early April 2023. I can imagine being a colorful hike during the fall.
Roughly 300m to the Tews falls
1.8kms loop to the Dundas peak
I’m seeing a lot of questions on the parking situation. I felt the parking was plenty (added a picture). They charged me $16 bucks for the parking and said it was valid for the entire day and good in multiple locations (even Websters falls). I added a picture showing most of the locations that the pass of valid for. Hope this helps.

It is a must visit if you love nature. Tew Falls and Webster Falls escarpment area is beautiful. One can take the trail to hike and after hiking one is bestowed upon one of the most amazing view of the city. You have to pay for parking but it's worth it, the view of the Tew falls is spectacular.

COVID 19 special arrangement
Pre-registration is required, the earliest you can register is 1 week before.
$30 for 2 persons, $5 for each additional person.
Your visit is limited to a 2 hours time slot. There are several start times for you to choose.
The Tew Falls almost dried up at this time. There were patches of multiple colours on the hills. Be prepared to line up to take pictures. Most parts of the trail are surrounded by trees. There are 3 lookout points for you to survey the valley and city below. The high metal fence along the trail is out of place and obstruct the view.

Gated parking lot meant that even though we had already paid at Webster's Falls we couldn't get in. Apparently we did those two spots in the wrong order. Maybe there's a way for us to get in and we didn't try it but I didn't trust the system not to bill us twice and we were in enough of a hurry that we didn't have time to spend trying to figure out. We considered just parking on the driveway but didn't want to get in trouble for that, or block traffic.

Although I find it a total zoo in the summer, and don't like having to take the shuttle, it is a completely different experience in the winter. No shuttle as you can park in the lot. Also no reservation required. It wasn't busy therefore you could really enjoy the lookout area's. I don't believe the path is groomed, but enough people have walked on it that it was well packed. Some icy spots due to the recent snow, rain, snow we've had. Lastly, many area's are on the edge of a cliff with no fencing, so consider this if you have young children. Like most tourist attractions, consider going in the off season.

We reserved tickets and decided to take a hike up to Dundas Peak. It was unknown to us that Hamilton Conservation was forced to put up large fencing all along parks viewing areas. In our opinion they obstructed the views and it was absolutely not worth the trip as you did not have the opportunity to truly experience Dundas Peak. The parks were pretty, well kept and clean like many in Ontario. But this was disappointing.

We had a fun hiking experience on a Monday morning in mid-June. Reservations are NOT required on weekdays during the summer of 2022. The view of the falls is somewhat limited during the summer due to leaves on trees blocking some of the viewpoints, and low water levels in the creek make the display less grand than it would be following heavy rains. The loop trail that goes out to Dundas mountain is not well signed at the far end because there is another, unsigned, blue blazed trail that takes off soon after the return loop begins that lures many hikers to veer onto it but appears to be a side trail going all the way down to Dundas. It would help hikers if that trail were signed.

We’re not used to paying to hike, but let me tell you, this place was so well taken care of, we were in heaven. We used All Trails & did a loop hike to the Falls & the peak. (Two separate places along the 2-mile loop hike.). Imagine an entire trail with gorgeous canopied trees above you that just magically fall inward. There is a different Kodak moment with different flora & fauna with every turn round a bend. Totally recommend visiting this site.

Hello, does anyone know if I can park my car at Greensville optimist park (which i believe is metered parking $2/hour or so?) and walk to the Webster falls? If the answer is yes, does the $5/person admission to the Webster falls still applies? thank you
Written August 21, 2019
Yes, you can. I parked mine at Bullocks Corners Park for free and walked to both Webster and Tews Falls. Personally I find Tews is the better Falls. If there is no attendant at Webster Falls then it is free. When I went there I did not see any attendant there so we just walked right in and it is free. There are a few ways to go in.

is there an entrance fee? is there free parking close by?
Written January 6, 2018
No entrance fee. There is a small parking lot just down the road and it is a pay per use lot. This is not a site for mobility challenged as the trail from the parking lot to the viewing area is not paved or even, just a dirt trail along the edge of the trees.
Written January 7, 2018
Is it a far walk and are there many stairs? Could someone who has slight mobility issues navigate for a peak at the falls without too much difficulty or is otherwise rocky with many stairs?
Written August 8, 2017
There are NO STAIRS AT ALL to get from the parking lot to the 1st lookout platform. Trust me on this since I live not too far from there and I have been there many times. But the 2nd platform has stairs. The view from the first platform is almost equal to the 2nd one. Yes, if you want to reach 2nd observation and maybe continue on the trail to the Dundas lookout, you would have to climb those stairs.

Does anyone know if there is a place to stop with a group of people? Maybe even have a little lunch with a camping stove?
Written March 10, 2017
I know people have had picnics at Tews falls. Some open grass areas before Tews Falls itself and that is basically it. Not sure if camping stoves are allowed! People usually use grass for picnics. Picnic tables not sure if they exist!

no you can't, falls has to long of a drop to it very steep and not recommend.
Written July 18, 2016
It is easier then it has been. Use to have some trails where it was too close to the edge. They have widened up the trails. Some parts of the trails do have steep hills but it is safe. Give yourself at least 2 hours, which includes both ways and taking your time. Weekends are very busy especially Sunday afternoons. I would recommend early in morning. Gates open early and close at sunset! It is very beautiful!

how long is the hike to the falls ? and is it easily accessible ?
Written August 1, 2015
It is a short walk, about 5 minutes from the parking lot to the falls but you will have to pay for parking, I believe it is $6.00. But it is also good for Webster falls which are close to it.
